My fashion career started in retail, while attending the Fashion Institute of Technology. From my first job as Retail Coordinator for Roberto Cavalli to my last position as a Sales Rep for Alexander McQueen, I was always the one to volunteer to anything because I wanted to soak it all in. I was prepared for the challenges of business ownership, thanks to the advice of mentors that helped me navigate various business opportunities for women.
Every year, we are informed about trends. Summer 2018 has us wearing florals (shocker), ruffles (shocker) and color (another shocker). Excuse me, trend reporters, you might have noticed some similarities with the previous year. We at Theory of Gaia will always bring you the details that appear in the trend reports: oversized clothes, effortless dresses with embellishments, high waisted shorts. These aren't your boyfriends clothes, but your oversized clothing that allow you to run, leap, and hop into whatever you need to.
I've always been attracted to strong women. Women who are authentic, supportive, and driven. Women who love looking stylish but at an affordable price point. You might look like you shop at high end stores, but no you bought it at Theory of Gaia, for #GaiaGirls.
A common occurrence in the store, someone walks in, inspects the beautiful items on the hanger, turns around, and asks “is there only one-size?”
Many ask what the "theory" in the Theory of Gaia is. The theory is Effortless, Unique and Inspiring. For our first post, we’ll start from the beginning: inspiring.
